Spring Blossom Palette

Spring is teasing us here in New Mexico. The last few weeks have been unseasonably warm (no complaints here!) but I know we're in for at least one more big freeze. Personally, I'd be happy if it would just get hotter and hotter from now until Summer, but apparently I don't get to make the rules.

Instead, I'll just enjoy all the budding plants and trees, and hope they won't all be killed if the temperature does plummet again.

By this time of year, I've had it with winter, and am ready to start seeing all the spring color, both inside and outside my home. So in honor of Spring, I'm bringing you a new palette today.

I love these muted pastels, and am already looking for ways to use them in my new house. Speaking of which, how do you feel about vertical blinds? Our new house is covered with them, and I'm on a mission to eradicate each one.

I'm about halfway through, and the pile of discarded blinds is growing daily on the floor of my living room. Forget unpacking all the boxes, these blinds are a priority! It seems like every time I leave the house these days, I'm buying curtains and rods. Now THAT's my kind of spring cleaning!

He Meredith. Love the calm soothing spring palette. Very pretty. As far as mini blinds...yuck. can't stand them. I'd be ripping them out too. 🙂

Thanks Susan! All the blinds are now in the back of my truck. I can't even find anywhere that will take them as donations!

This is such a refreshing pallete. I particularly love the contrast with the pale pink and deeper green. As to the verticle blinds...I'm over them!

Thanks Jacquie! I know pink can be a little overwhelming, but I think the green balances it out nicely.

Love the palette!!! Makes me tempted to get started on painting, and changing my color scheme in my home. No time to spare though. As for vertical blinds. I am with you, I cant stand them. However, truth be told, I still have mine up since we moved in 9 months ago. 😉

Such a perfect palatte. I was just out in my backyard feeling good that things are starting to come to life 🙂 I don't like vertical blinds, but I don't hate them either 😉
