If you’re like me, Spring may seem a little early this year. I feel like we just made it through the holidays and already it’s almost Spring Break! That may be because I’ve been wrapped up in moving to a new house and haven’t thought of much else besides the absolute necessities involved in selling and buying, packing and unpacking. (You’ll hear lots more about the house soon!)
Since I’m so behind on everything, I thought I’d try to get ahead of the game for at least one holiday: Mother’s Day.
Now here’s a holiday I can really appreciate. As a daughter, I definitely appreciate my mother, but as a mother, I appreciate any day that gets me out of doing the dishes, even if it’s only to find twice as many hiding in the sink the next morning because no one else did them either.
This year, I thought I’d share with you my top picks for Mother’s Day gifts. (And Honey, if you’re reading this, yes this is my personal wish list!)
This fun roundup comes from UncommonGoods, an amazing website that showcases artists’ and artisans’ handmade creations, all while on a mission to encourage environmental and social responsibility. I love their fun selection of unusual items and gifts, so when they approached me for a sponsored post, I already had it half-written in my head! Read on for some gifting inspiration, either for yourself or someone you love, then visit their website for more information.

Happy early Mother’s Day to all my mommy friends, and those of you shopping for your mothers! By the way, Mother’s Day this year is on May 8th in the US, so now you have no excuse for missing it!

My Favorite is the Lip Balm. Creative. My kids might learn to love theirs better because they made it themselves than to keep stealing mine and loose it. ;-)

Ha! So glad to know I'm not the only one with that problem Rochelle! I've given up and started buying my lip balm in the most basic versions because I know I won't have it long...

I like the idea of the wine pearls, though I drink more red than white wine. It's a good idea to have some around.

I agree Jeri, especially if you're entertaining unexpected guests!

I'm a fan too, Sandey. I love that they have some unusual things that you can't find elsewhere. Now, if I can just stick to buying gifts for the people on my list, and not get distracted by what I want...

I use to buy those candles all the time, they are wonderful. That book is a neat idea too. So crazy how quickly time passes. Enjoy every day and moment each one is such a blessing.

Oh that's so good to know! I'd hate to recommend something that wasn't good. Think I'll bump the candles to the top of my list...
