I love a good “before” and “after,” don’t you? Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like you to meet Hattie, our latest flip house adventure. Yes, I know it’s probably weird to give people’s names to our houses, but we need a way to keep track of them and I get so attached to each one that it’s as if they have their own personality. $100 Room Challenge Family Room Reveal Week
It’s finally here – reveal week of the $100 Room Challenge! I have to admit, there were a few moments along the way that I questioned whether I would get this one done. Week 3: Painting Bookshelves & Cabinets
It’s already week three of the $100 Room Challenge! I’ve gotten my closet doors done, and this week I (mostly) finished painting my bookshelves and cabinets. Today I’ve got a few tips for you if you’re thinking of painting a bookshelf. For these shelves and cabinets, I used basically the same process as I did with the doors, but I added an extra step of sealing the shelf tops with Polycrylic, to protect the paint from books sliding in and out of the shelves. I Love the After: The Big Reveal of our Latest Flip
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I’m not writing a progress post on our flip house like I had planned for this week. The good news is because it’s turned into a reveal post! Our New Flip House Gets a Fresh Start
We had so much fun renovating our first flip house that we couldn’t wait to do it again. Except it turns out finding the right opportunity sometimes takes a little patience. So after a few months of itching to get our hands on a new project, we finally found one that fit the bill. Finishing Touches to my Guest Bathroom Remodel
When I joined the $100 Room Challenge in January, I had high hopes for my guest bathroom remodel. I was so pleased with how much I could accomplish for $100, and surprised that we could get it all done in a month! But once the $100 was spent (with breathtaking speed), there were still a few more touches I wanted to add, to really finish off the room and complete the look I envisioned in my head.
