Sunny Succulent Palette

This week, I’m up to my elbows in kitchen cabinet doors, so I thought I’d take a break from that project and have a little color therapy. I’ve been loving all the cute succulent containers and crafts that I see popping up everywhere. But I have a black thumb when it comes all things gardening-related, even cacti. So I’m contenting myself with virtual succulent gardening. I can collect as many as I want online, and I don’t have to worry about killing them!

This sunny succulent palette makes me believe that I can hold on to summer just a little bit longer, even while enjoying my pumpkin spice latte and trying to figure out how to put together Halloween costumes. The days may be getting a bit shorter, and the mornings a little cooler, but who says we have to let go of summer colors?

I love succulents. Their muted colors are so soothing. This palette is as well.

When I think of summer, I naturally think of sunshine, so I would have put a scorching yellow in the palette, but now that I think about it, your muted yellow (#e4eaa0, the third color from the left) is probably more appropriate for the waning days of summer. I like the peach hue, which fits the bill because peaches are a summer fruit, but in this vein we could use some black for black seedless grapes, which are definitely pretty succulent ("tender, juicy, and tasty") and are also in season during the summer.

Andy, I think you have a gift for color - you should start making your own palettes! (And it brings me great joy to see that you even know the hex code for one of them.)

I have quite the thing for succulent plants and knew before I even clicked to open this post I would love the pallette, and I certainly do!

Thank you Jeri! I've started falling for them too. Maybe because they might be harder for me to kill... :)
