I love decorating. Problem is, I’ve run out of rooms in my house to decorate. Yes, I have an interior design business where I get to decorate other people’s houses, but then my clients have this pesky habit of wanting me to decorate for them in their style, not mine. (I guess that’s reasonable, since they’re paying me.) But recently I found a great way to indulge my decorating urges without spending a dime, either of my own money, or my clients! It’s like window shopping online, and it’s called Polyvore.
Mixing cool neutrals with warm orangey tones creates a cozy balance for a library or sitting room.
If you haven’t checked it out before, it’s like a cross between Pinterest and Amazon, where you can put together sets (a lot of people use Polyvore for fashion ensembles, but I prefer creating rooms) and each item in the set is linked to where you can purchase that particular piece. I’ve started using this method for clients, and I thought it would be fun to share it with you. If you’re thinking of redoing a room, you can put together endless variations of furniture groupings, with accessories, colors, and furniture.
Give it a try, or just tune in here occasionally to see new sets!
